Rates of Henann Alona Beach Resort (with booking tips and booking hacks for budget luxury traveller)
My previous blog, the Comprehensive Review of the Resort, gave an important and practical observations in the resort. However, I intentionally post the financial obligations upon entering the resort since:
1. I am waiting for my friends' commentary and notes on the prices;
2. Also, he will give tips on booking since the resort has strict policies; and
3. Full assurance of honest statement in terms of financial factors in the resort.

Friends, I apologized for providing a separate statement and sharing on the Deluxe Room rate (ill try to share other room rate if I can provide a little hehe) in the Henann Alona Beach Resort.
Also, I'll give tips on travel booking hacks in the resort.
August 2017, I've started to look for the preferable resort in Panglao.
2. It has a preferable location, preferably in Alona area, access to establishment yet nearby tourist destination
3. It has an appealing rating (7-10 is my preferable rating) in tripadvisor, agoda, booking.com or even forums. Do more research on the reviews; and
4. It has reasonable rate at my expense.
Actually, it is a hard time for me since the reviews are too broad, not in details and only rating. I want a details. I pledge myself to be honest in giving research.
October 2017, I have my final decision for my summer vacation and I chose Henann Alona Beach Resort Panglao. From there, I started to research about the Resort, from their Pros and Cons for at least, I can expect both sides. Honestly, I have an excitement to experience their genuine service but I am also afraid of accepting their flaws as what other travelers experienced. No matter how it cost, I will try and make my observation and facts from myself alone! On this month, I also planned my date of occupying the place.
November 2017, I had my booking for my April 2018 vacation.
2. The availability of the rooms changed
By this, i've made several analysis on my fitted date at the cheapest price because it would save me 1000-3000php depending on its availability and algorithm of their booking system. Their booking system is supported by computers and the dates and the demand were programmed. Simply, their system can be described the same as the airlines!
I have an observation also that the conditioning power of the prices made in the airlines has the same power in their reservation. I verified it when I inputed dates in the booking sites among airline company in the Philippines and eventually, they have a complex explanation but the same movement of prices!
According to the website of Henann, their price could be cheaper if I pay thru Credit Card. Honestly, I don't have credit card since I have no work and just a student, I have to ask for another mode of payment. This is the start of my booking adventures in Henann Alona Beach Resort!
- Cash payment(bank deposit,bank/wire/telegraphic transfer)
They also continue that I can avail discount if I made full payment to them. So I condition myself to pay in full to avail. Just email them if you are to pay final.
2. After you email them of your confirmation, you can receive the needed information. These are the information:

- Full Name:
- Contact number:
- Email Add:
- Preferred Room Type:
- Check-in Date:
- Check-out Date:
- Name/s of Companion/s:
If with kids, please state age of each kid in your group:
(Prepare the proof of birth, we will require this document upon reservation )
- Complete flight details.
- If you are taking fastcraft from Cebu to Tagbilaran, just send them your ETA (Estimated Time Arrival)
- If you are just living and residing in Bohol that wanted to avail their transportation service, just indicate your ETA depending on where you want to be picked up, eg. Tagbilaran Airport or Seaport. Tip: if you want not to be screwed, just choose an airline or a fastcraft that has ETA you want to depart in the resort. Example: I want to go in henann by 12noon which to be picked up in Tagbilaran Seaport. I know that the management has the list of ETA in the airport or seaport, I will choose Ocean Jet as my carrier since one of their trips will arrive at 12:40noon which is nearer to my wished 12noon departure.
3. After you send them their required information, their response will all about the price and inclusion. To get the cheapest price, do check in that fall on WEEKDAYS, preferably check in will be on TUESDAY or WEDNESDAY, and check out will be on THURSDAYS and FRIDAYS! I guarantee you you may have the best cheap price! You could see that bank deposit has cheaper price than credit card. No other fees to be added upon bank deposit in BPI, Swear because when I have bank deposit in Metrobank, they add bank deposit value which is not good to me as a cheap traveller. I followed these pattern and I received my price on the said days:
- 7,355php for bank deposit (Bank of Philippine Islands is their account)
- 7,742php for credit card
4. After your preconfirmation thru their email, they will send you conditions that they have grace period of 2Days,3pm to make your reservation be accommodated by paying in FULL amount. Otherwise, they will give your reservation slot to other guest who wishes to have a reservation in the hotel. Guys, take your responsibility since its business. Also, they will send you CASH BOOKING FORM which will be send together with the DEPOSIT SLIP
What is Cash Booking Form?
- Bed configuration;
- Total Billing cost;
- Inclusions;
- Instructions on Bank Deposit;
- Instruction of confirmation of booking;
- Deadline of the form;
- Cancelation and no show policy;
- Resort Terms and Condition; and
- Your signature!
Once signed, you confirm that the inputed information are true and correct. That is why, they don't easily entertain changes for privacy purposes!
I will attach some photos on the Cash Booking Form and the Deposit Slip.

5. After sending, the management will acknowledge your sent scanned document in Cash Booking Form and Deposit Slip. You have to wait the Confirmation form to have an official document that you enable to pay the price for your stay in Henann.
6. They will send you a booking confirmation form.
What is Booking Confirmation Form?
It is a form that contains the:
- The inputed information found in #2 process;
- Bed configuration;
- Total Billing cost;
- Inclusions;
- Cancelation and no show policy; and
- Scanned signature of the Reservation officer
Please print it because you will also present the document especially when you are not availing the transfer service of the resort. The security of the resort is so strict and just ready the pertinent document such as the Booking Confirmation Form and your Government Issued ID or Passport(for foreign tourists).
After the process, I made a follow-up last March 2018 on my reservation. Amazing, they are prompt to answer and told us our room assignment is ready!
Of the booking process alone, their instructions are very accessible and easy to understand. I recommend you to have a reservation directly to them to avail discounts and perks! Kudos to Henann Resort!
The Pros are:
1. Their reservation officer is fast in responding my queries
2. The instructions are understandable and have fewer queries
3. Documents were being provided to be aware of all conditions in the resort
The cons are:
1. I am hassled to provide a sent scanned documents on their Cash Booking form since I have to print and scan the document and its hassle for me, but its fine. This form signifies the pact between you and them but its hassle haha!
2. The reservation officer is not available on Saturdays and sundays. I have more availability on weekends than weekdays. But I hope they could have improvements for that! :)
Deluxe Room: Php 10,000
Premier Room: Php 11,000
Junior Suite: Php 13,000
Family Room: Php 14,000
Premier with Direct Pool Access: Php 14,500
Villa: Php 22,000
Presidential Suite: Php 30,000
All I can say is that have a booking 6 mons before like me to avail discount of prices! Imagine, from my deluxe room rate Php7k, it rose to Php10k?!
Guys, plan ahead to have a discount on these rooms! Try the deluxe first before availing the other rooms to experience the best showdown of luxury in the resort 🙂
However, rates in agoda, booking.com and other booking cites has lower value BUT additional charges also rise up. Just email Henann Resort= iloilo.hbl@henann.com , because I can assure you they have the best price than the booking cites!!!!
Booking thru credit card directly to the resort is also fine since it may vary the price of the bank deposit about 300-500 pesos but if you want to save such values, better avail BANK DEPOSIT!

Example: I want to have a stay in Henann Alona. If I want to avail cheaper price, I must start my reservation option in SEPTEMBER since I planned to pay in MAY. Why? See the availability of the rooms in Henann to their website, first 3 months, you can see that their published rate is only PREMIER ROOM. Eventually, cheaper rooms are NOT AVAILABLE. Better plan ahead of time!
- However, the resort does not allow to have a reservation beyond a year prior to your reservation
Example: I want to stay in Henann on May 2019. I can't have a reservation on that time since the resort only allows to have reservation 11 months before your planned date. Only, I can have my reservation on April 2019, not on May 2019. You need to wait on June 2019 to have a reservation in May 2019 for a cheaper price.
- Holidays is also the season of money making to the tourism industry. Make sure to avoid these days. If you are on the dates and you can afford, why not? Still, the experience is the best! But if you go cheap, do not have your vacation on holidays in henann!
- Weekends? Yes, they rise their prices but not all the time! If the weekend follows a long holiday, expect for a high prices on their room! Remember, their rates are processed by algorithms. If you want your stay on weekends at a cheaper price, make sure that it does not follow a long holiday!
- Make sure ti catch their social media cites and Travel Expo since they offer large discounts to those who will avail but this is a blue moon opportunity. I suggest to have a reservation 3-11months before your planned vacation stay in Henann!!!!
- From a chinese friend, she told me that a massive discount will be offered if you joined Filipino Chinese community. Imagine, a deluxe room that cost Php 7,000, their special price will be around Php 4,000++. Wow, that's a great savings BUT according to her, they must be in groups. That is why, the resort accommodates them like 30 rooms and that is why, the resort allows them to stay! If you are not belonging on a business family, don't expect you can avail their perks haha!
Guys, these are the common tips that I could offer and very honest. Actually, you get what you've paid for! 🙂

Promos
Personally, I haven't try availing promos in Henann. But what I have seen in their booking cite, I saw some promos and perks provided by the resort. I will try some of their perks but maybe thru BANK DEPOSIT since it is cheaper and I don't have bank account yet HAHA. Best time to book
